Attacking Guide

Fifa 12′s attacking engine hasn’t had the dramatic overhaul that defending has but small tweaks have been made. Precision dribbling was the main one introduced. This enables your player to turn more sharply with the ball in closer proximity. It can be invaluable when receiving the ball in a crowded penalty area and can help to create that half yard of space needed to get a strike on goal.

Many people abused the lob shot in fifa 10 and the heading from crosses on fifa 11 and this has been taken out much to my delight. Lobs and heading aren’t easy to pull off and this is reflected now in game play. It makes it all the more rewarding when you do climb to power in a header or show great touch to lob the
onrushing goalkeeper.

Once again, there is a whole section on attacking tips for your perusal where you will see how I managed to improve my game to score more goals. Not only this but a wider variety of goals, there is nothing more frustrating than only been able to score a couple of ways. What also infuriates me is when players you play against online can only score 1 type of the goal…..the ball over the top for a pacey striker and a low ground pass square ball….where is the fun in that?!?

Attacking isn’t just putting the ball in the back of the net. It’s about build-up play, crossing, finishing, through balls, flick-ons, corners and many more aspects. In the attacking tips section you will find various tips to tweak your offensive options.

We’re working on that content as we speak. Unfortunately work has to take preference and a heavy workload and an illness has prvented us finishing the finesse section of the shooting area.

It will be with you as soon as we can. Apologies for the delay.
